Antonia Lofaso
Antonia's Lofaso invites you explore her inner world through her cuisine. Her food evokes curiosity, which developed when she left her Long Island suburbs and entered the culturally rich scene that is Los Angeles. The carnetas and the Cavatelli are, according to her, able to exist together on the exact same menu. Her taste is constantly evolving. All of her dishes are infused with a unique vision for the future, while also reminiscing about the previous. Scopa Italian Roots opened its doors in 2013 and was immediately very well received. Lofaso's interpretation of classic Italian dishes is among the top restaurants in Los Angeles. Lofaso is consistently praised by Scopa's patrons for serving food that feels authentic and unmistakably enjoyable. Lofaso was trained by some of the best chefs in the world and mastered their techniques, but was never unwilling to follow her own intuitions. She quickly rose through the ranks of Wolfgang Puck's Spago and went on to make a difference in the kitchens of famous chefs located in Los Angeles while working closely with numerous celebrities. Lofaso, Sal Aurora, and Mario Guddemi partnered to open Black Market Liquor Bar Studio City in 2011. In Black Market and the business partnerships she formed Lofaso found a new home. Lofaso was able to enjoy the freedom to be creative that she wanted through the collaboration. Black Market is not constrained by a single direction, and that is the intention. A meal could start with chipped potatoes and peppers with some dill. This could be followed by Korean meatballs and wings. What anchors this bold assortment of flavours is Antonia. Lofaso evaluated her career success based on her ability to both understand and be authentic to her audiences. Apart from her memorable performances on Top Chef Chicago and Top Chef: All Stars, her distinctiveness was also praised out of the kitchen. In the present, she continues to impress on the screen in her role as a CNBC judge, and as a recurring character on The Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen Man vs. Child. Lofaso worked with Penguin for the release of The Busy mom's Cookbook 100 Recipes for Fast Delicious home-cooked Meals in 2012. This cookbook also tells the story of her struggle as a mother of Xea and pursuing her studies in the French Culinary Institute. Lofaso says that the inspiration behind all of her success comes from the kitchen. That's how she maintains a constant pulse on the current happenings. She has revolutionized the industry's design by creating chef's wear to be functional and stylish with her own brand Chefletics. The main goal of Lofaso is to stay in line with her mission. To achieve this goal she has launched Antonia Lofaso Catering. This will provide clients with the most personal service.
